Join us online on Tuesday, November 27th for a national day of giving! Follow us on Facebook and help us by sharing our posts. We will be doing live videos and posting ways to donate and give back throughout the day!
Four Ways to Give:
1. Give Time
Volunteer for Friends of MADACC or at the shelter with MADACC. Friends of MADACC needs volunteers that can help with event set-up and staffing, flyering for events, and shot clinics. We are also always looking for people who want to get more involved and join a committee. Our committees include: Walk Run Wag, Barktoberfest, Outreach, and Graphic Design. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to ask about joining a committee. Sign-up to volunteer for events here.
At MADACC, they are also always looking for more volunteers. They have volunteer positions for everything, including: laundry, dog and cat adoption counseling, cat socializing, and dog walking. Learn more about volunteering at MADACC here.
2. Give Supplies
MADACC maintains a list of needed items year round. You can hop use this link to hop on Amazon and select the ones that you want to send their way this giving season. Then at checkout, you should see Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission as an option in your shipping addresses.
Don’t use Amazon? There are a couple places doing a supply drive for MADACC around Milwaukee. You can drop off supplies at New Options Salon and Boutique in Whitefish Bay or shop at Pet Supplies Plus in Greenfield and leave your items with them to deliver to MADACC. 3. Give Funds
Donate using PayPal to help support our cause and the animals in the care of MADACC. Donations are always appreciated and help us to directly help the animals at MADACC. Through fundraising and donations, we have been able to do things like buy cat condos for the lobby, build a back yard area for the pups to play in, and cover many many medical costs for animals.
4. Give a Home
Adopt or foster a shelter animal! While the goal for every animal that comes in to MADACC is to return it to it’s home, that unfortunately does not always happen. If an owner does not come to claim an animal after five days, they could get a second chance at a loving home by going up for adoption. If they are sick and need extra care, they will go in to foster care to heal. If you are considering adding a new furbaby to your family, consider MADACC for either adopting or fostering!
