Martha is one of many dogs that have been part of our Pit Bull Proud program. Brought into MADACC in horrible condition, Martha, who is about 7-years-old had been burned, abused and used for breeding. She had numerous burn scars covering her shoulder and back, and appeared to have recently given birth to puppies. Due to years of overbreeding, Martha must now wear diapers as her bladder does not function properly.
Through the Pit Bull Proud program, Martha was adopted into a loving family, and now has a happy, peaceful life with her human and fur siblings. Despite medical issues and the pain and suffering endured, Martha maintains her spunky attitude and has never stopped being the loving pit bull “hippo” that she is. Always wearing pink diapers and a tutu, she is quite the fashionista.
Martha inspires us to continue to do more. She is one of the thousands of dogs and cats that have benefited from our programs. We would not be able to help the animals at MADACC and dogs like Martha if it wasn’t for donors like YOU!
